She’s 73 and on Fire!

Is your life everything you dreamed it to be? Is it the life you visualized when you were younger?

We were all younger at one time or another and we had plans. Plans for ourselves and plans for our future. When we graduated from highschool many of us thought if we worked hard we could get the life we wanted. Then some of us went to college and graduate school. Some got those high paying jobs and made great income and had that sense that we were on our way. Some of us got 2 jobs thinking this would get us ahead.

But what happened? Most of us are still working hard, still working multiple jobs, have the high paying income…but the situation hasn’t changed…we are still living pay check to pay check and have very little in savings to show for all the time devoted to our bosses and our jobs. Meanwhile we have lost time with our children, with our family and with our friends, and most of all we have stopped what we enjoy doing…

I want to share with you a story of a woman named Donna who subscribed to our website. She is not what most people would envision as a prospect for their home business. But I want you to see why she did.

Here is the note she sent to me:

“Thank you so much for your concern & willingness to help others. I am 73 years old and social security was not enough. I have joined Fortune High Tech Marketing. I am pregnant with the business. I will not allow me to abort by fear, unbelief, doubt or broke people. What you have sent me has been a great help. I have made my target market businesses. Today I am calling limo services for appointment to show the business. I am on fire about network marketing and ready to kick__________.

Donna and I exchanged emails and she is the real thing. I got permission to pass this email along so Donna if you are reading this, thank you for making a difference in the lives of others who are trying to decide who they should prospect!

You see what this points out is that it is not about age, professional background, or even education. It is about the person and their desires. Donna clearly hasn’t given up on life! She has a lifestyle that she is wanting and is willing to participate in changing her current situation.

What is so exciting is that Donna did not give into her fear and skepticism. Most people allow their fear for change and what they think they cannot do determine their decision to not participate in network marketing.

Many will tell you that they don’t have money as well. This is normally because they are afraid. The reality is most of us figure out how to get the money to do something important in their life.

I was just talking to a single mom who said she didn’t have the money, but she just finished telling me she bought a Christmas gift for her daughter that cost her $1200. So it is not so much about money, but more about priorities and whether or not we think we can be successful.

So I am personally inspired by Donna’s story and her decision to participate in improving her life and the lives of others.

Now some of you might be wondering, why I might support Donna even though she is in another business other than my own? It is because she adds value to why we do what we do should we engage in network marketing. She represents why we should never prejudge people.

But most importantly, Donna’s story reminds me why an additional source of residual income is important to everyone. I certainly don’t want my parents in this situation, nor do I want to find myself in the later part of my life living below my means. So what that Donna discovered this at 73, at least she is doing something about it.

So if you are still thinking about whether network marketing is something for you, or if you are still working your business and struggling, think about what you want your life to look like when you are 73! And if you are having success don’t forget who your target market might be…it is the determined and willing to take part in shaping their financial future!
