There are thousands and thousands of people everyday looking for a business opportunity, a way out of their current situation or job. If they are not landing on your site, they are landing on generic capture pages and these leads are being sold to business builders like you.
Buying leads can have tremendous value as you get started in your business. I’m not talking about the leads that might come from your company’s distribution system. I’m speaking about an affiliate site that strictly provides this service of lead distribution. No longer are you dependent on family and friends, trying to convince others that your business makes sense.
Finally you are tapping into your target market of people in pursuit of a business opportunity. While many may be looking for hope, a free ride to a different life, some share a common desire for financial freedom.
Should you decide to go down this path of buying leads, there are a couple of questions and recommendations you may want to consider to make sure you receive quality leads. Hopefully you will not travel down the path my husband and I did initially buying leads. Leads are only as valuable as the source in which it comes from.

What we discovered was that some of these companies are scrubbing contact information from other sources and selling them as leads. Typically, they are sold a couple of times. But other companies sell them to several, which means by the time you contact your lead, they may be quite hostile given that you might be the 5th person who has called them, or the 10th. Never a fun call to make!
Here is a couple of key questions to ask your leads source:
• What information is shared with the prospect when they arrive on the landing page?
• How many times are the leads sold?
You don’t need to break the bank buying leads. While some leads cost $5 others cost $1. The higher the cost, the higher the quality, at least this is the hope. Sometimes, the higher priced leads will also provide a virtual assistant, an additional service that conducts the initial screening process. This often means that the conversation rate may be higher than the less expensive leads.
But remember, just because they are quality leads, does not mean the prospect is likely to join your business. However, what you now have is a running start to building your list, a funnel that will lead you to a posture of abundance. A few may join right away, most will not, and some may later.
Keep in mind, buying leads is just the first step. The best practice approach in contacting your leads will be addressed in a later article. Contact us right now and we will share our techniques used by other industry leaders that has attracted several hundred people to join.
